San Andreas Fire Rescue units are a dedicated and responsive force committed to providing prompt and efficient emergency assistance to our communities. We prioritize the preservation of life, the protection of property, and the well-being of our residents during critical situations.
Collaboration is at the heart of our operations. We work closely with law enforcement agencies and other first responders to ensure a coordinated and effective emergency response. Together, we strive to provide the highest level of care and assistance to our communities during times of crisis.
Our Fire Department comprises highly trained firefighters equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology. They courageously combat fires, conduct intricate rescue operations, and mitigate hazardous incidents, ensuring the safety of our communities.
Our Emergency Medical Services (EMS) division, skilled paramedics, and EMTs deliver immediate and life-saving medical care. Equipped with advanced equipment, they respond swiftly to medical emergencies, provide critical care, and offer essential support to those in need.
The starting base pay as a probationary unit is $50, which changes as you advance. This means it will defer from rank to rank.
San Andreas Fire Rescue offers a rolling hiring process and will only close applications to the department when their staffing needs are met. To learn if SAFR is hiring, you can visit any station within the state and ask for a department officer. You can also visit the SAFR website to learn more about the department.
After being accepted & receiving your onboarding, you will complete the basic training phase, followed by ride-a-longs and other steps required by the agency.
